Pocket Advance_

The KONKR Pocket Advance is essentially a modern answer to the question of what a Game Boy Advance might look like today. Its 3.5-inch 960×640 display uses the same 3:2 aspect ratio as Nintendo's handheld, allowing GBA games to scale cleanly while giving other retro systems a suitably compact screen. Running Android 12 on a MediaTek Helio G90T, the Pocket Advance is considerably more capable than its appearance suggests. It comes in 3GB and 4GB RAM configurations with 32GB or 64GB of storage, plus microSD expansion. The lack of analog sticks is deliberate, keeping the controls focused on the D-pad and buttons that suit 2D games particularly well. Its 4,000mAh battery, stereo speakers, gyroscope and active cooling add modern conveniences without taking attention away from the basic handheld experience. The limitation is equally clear: this is a machine designed around classic controls and games, rather than a small-screen alternative to a more powerful Android handheld. For GBA fans, that focus is arguably the whole point.
