System Analysis
Designed as a dual-screen clamshell handheld, the ANBERNIC RG DS is intended to support libraries that benefit from vertically stacked displays while remaining usable as a daily retro companion. It is known for its folding construction, tactile controls, and focused software environment tailored to classic and dual-screen platforms. The format positions this system as a specialized travel device rather than a broad, all-purpose emulator. Entering circulation in 2025 the primary trade-off is added mechanical complexity and a narrower use case compared to single-screen designs.
